Today's mood: :-)

2238GMT - JL442 - 33000 feet above St Petersburg

Well. It's been an interesting day to be honest. Got into court at about 11.20 and was out of there quite quickly after having been given affection.net back. Which was nice. Have to repay some monies apparently loaned but, well, pocket change.

Someone has been eating pies. No dimples, lots of dumplings. Had as little contact as I could manage. Didn't feel a thing; probably a good sign.

Jon is so far coping without his cigarettes, but is recharging his nicotene patches. I think I might have forgotten my Mardi Gras ticket but I'm not entirely sure - I think it's in my case with my organ music. Hope so.

Richard gave us a lift to the airport which was nice of him. Spoke with Lyssa on the way and drank gin and tonic. Jon had asked for one so I took a bottle of gin (which we had finished by Heathrow) and a bag of little cans of tonic - and some plastic cups. But we're not lushes. No.

JAL is quite good. Jon and I were moved to bulkhead seats because they gave us some more space, and they blocked the third seat in our block so we could put our gin there. Nice of them. Jon is drinking for Scotland at the moment. I think I might have a hangover when we get to Osaka.

So far I have only telephoned two people from the groovy little phone thing: Matthew and Owen. "Hello! I'm on the plane..." $8 a minute can't be bad.

The woman in the seat behind complained I kept reclining it, so I told her to move. She has been quiet for the last hour or so. I am feeling a bit stiff but I haven't taken any painkillers because I've been drinking.

I will consume the Nytol on the next leg of the journey.

I watched "Bedazzled" during the flight. Funny, but Liz Hurley is a bit wooden in it. Wooden being a euphamism for shite.

When you press the steward button the man brings gin. We like this.
