Sydney
We had quite an early start for our drive up into the Blue Mountains. We left the apartment at about 8am and headed over to Jon's hotel to pick up the others, plus Fruitbat who I decided I'd invite. There seemed to be much intrigue at the fact his name is Fruitbat, rather than, well, Ste[v|ph]en (any more) and to be honest I'm not entirely sure I understand. It's not as much of a comedy name as, say, (Polly's) Mr. Bunny. It was a talking point though so I guess something has been achieved.
The Blue Mountains are spectacular. We went on the cable car, Scenescender (I think it was called) and the steepest incline railway in the world. All very good fun, apart from the fellow Englishman in the Scenescender who couldn't understand a simple instruction ("Please stand back, sir") and then argued with the member of staff when challenged about it. Saved myself from telling him he was a twat (and also, thereford, from a punch in the chops) but was dying to point out he was an unattractive, arrogant, Northern twat. Oh well.
Saw a cutesie ikkle leech.
The views were absolutely breathtaking. I'm glad I did this. The hire car is horrifically under-powered.
Went out in the evening and had the choice of two men. Philip, who was a bit older (looking) than me and built to die for, or the safer bet, whose name I forget, who was 20, blond, and suitably good looking. Turns out nameless-boy (I don't think I asked, actually) was the wrong choice as he wasn't particularly good in bed (no penetration and a comedy willy) despite his claims to the contrary. I didn't have the heart to tell him that being good in bed usually means the other occupant of said bed can't get out of it for at least a day for fear of causing a draught. Oh well. In fairness, though, he did give fantastic head. Which was nice.
I went to Videodrama - the video shop in "Muriel's Wedding" - and was very touristy and ooed and aahed a bit at the Toni Colette autographs.
Email about an old Hereford choristers' reunion. That sounds, um, like a laugh a minute. It is difficult to contain the excitement.
Some stress between Tobes and Tony. I hope it's not visitor-induced.
I have tanned a little and the mosquito bites are fading really quickly.
