Had I not have left Mildred at Redhat overnight I could've been in work a little earlier than I was. But I forgot - as you do - and when I went outside to get in the car realised she wasn't there. Then I remembered where she was so took a bit of a reminiscing walk to 9-14 Cheap Street to get her.
SupaSnaps (how classy) will develop my Québec films onto PhotoDisc for an extra £2 per film - which is significantly cheaper than the £12 Boots quoted me for a similar service. I'll be dropping those in over the weekend.
We've been interviewing Business Development Managers at work. Quite distracting as I have to keep on taking tmie out to talk to them. Well - the one who came in today at any rate. But he did talk to me for quite a while so that's almost the same as lots of interruptions, it's just one long one.
Had a long phone call with Toby about Sydney and stuff. Well, Sydney in particular, actually. Gave him flight details and stuff and sorted out what's going to be happening. I've got all my tickets snucked away safe and Tobe's off to get some more for the Pool Party and other things too. I'm still tempted to head over to New Zealand for a few days but I should research some air fares and things first.
Martin emailed me to find air his surpise that air travel wasn't eroding my wallet. This was in response to my email saying that I was off to New York sometime over the summer and that he should come down and visit as it would only be a few hundred dollars. Either that or whilst he was in Las Vegas I might "pop over to see him." Seems perfectly reasonable. Must speak with Philip actually and find out when we're likely to be going to the South of France.
I've started researching flying lessons again. I'd like to get at least one in before I go to Sydney so that I have something to regail Toby with and so that I can seize the controls of the jet in the event of a Airplainesque disaster. Unlikely, admittedly, but that whole flight from Québec to Ottawa experience has fuelled my passion even more. And I'll be intrigued to know what the flashing red lights were for.
Set off the fire alarm trying to fry some vegetables. Actually, they were frying particularly well but I forgot about them and they went a bit, um, crispy. Still - the trout was nice and the right colour. Started demolishing the Shiraz from before Christmas. Very yummy.
I have concluded that I can't resign, simply because if I did they'd expect me to do some work during my notice period.
