Oooh! It's good to be back!
This morning I woke up at about midday and realised I hadn't a thing to eat in the house and that the supermarkets had closed as it was a Sunday (grr) so I was a little stuck for choice. Managed to feast on cornflakes and tinned tuna for breakfast with a mug of Lemsip. What class.
The boiler's gone a bit funny. It was leaking this morning but by the end of the day it was fine. I guess bits expanded at different speeds when I turned it back on high yesterday but it's all working properly now and the leak has stopped. Not that it matters whether I have hot water or not at the moment given everything's frozen in the cellar so the bath won't empty. Poo.
Brian's in the early evening after some progress with leafnode, fetchnews, fetchmail and sendmail. Sendmail's poo and doesn't like being on a temporary connection, but everything else is working. Will not be defeated - although Xavier has my SuSE manuals so I'm slightly stymied for a few days. Hey ho.
Périgeux in the evening for clubbing at Key Largo. It's a very nice place but I didn't really know anyone so I was pining for Limoges and Panthère. They played It's raining men so I did at least manage to make a spectacle of myself once!
Marrakech in hardly-any-days-at-all! We're all really excited, although I don't know how many will be joining us. Hilde's still on for it. Woo! Brian and I have been planning our trip over the Atlas Mountains into the Sahara for Christmas Day.
Gorge sky tonight! Not as cold as yesterday, thankfully. I need some lip-balm.
