Today's mood: :-)

Newbury

Work irritating. Ended up sitting down with two parties who chose today - a day over my "I'm going home" deadline and a week before the new one - to discuss the content they were going to have on the site. I was a bit miffed, but never mind; I'm being paid.

Brian has booked the Ryad in Marrakech. Between the seven of us we've rented a house there for roughly £125 each for the two weeks. I'm not sure if we get a "Yentob" but nonetheless it will be marvellous. This means my goal of being in the Sahara desert for either Christmas or New Year is actually going to happen. I think I'm probably going to try and get to go on a camel on Christmas Day. That would be so cool as to defy total coolness!

Booked Jon and my flights to Sydney. We're going to fly out to Sydney, spend a couple of days, fly over to New Zealand for the wedding, spend some time, then fly back. All rather fabby and exciting. We've prepped Tobes and Scott about our visit so all will be well! Can't wait! Sorted out my Priority Pass (more lounge access), chatted up the nice woman at AMEX with the result of being put through to card upgrades, and sorted out that I now have enough JAL miles to either upgrade or fly somewhere for nothing. Rah!

Had a long chat with Julie - ex of Planet Wild - to tell her we'd found the title sequence to Dublin Nghts on the web. To be fair, it was Dave who found it. No more news yet - she's going to try and find out things for us. Transmission dates would be good so I can accidentally not be in England!

I am not buying the XM. Much as I would've liked to, I can't really justify having another car when I could be putting the cash for it towards a rather pleasant DS. I located a DS in the second hand ads which is in Bordeau. I might pop over and see it when I'm back.

Long chat with Brian about things. We're both really excited now and I can't wait to get to Marrakech.

Cooked wild rice with pan-fired mushrooms, onions, broccoli, corn, courgettes, carrots and asparagus. Very yummy with a sprinkling of Moglai curry to give it a bit of a fruity tang. Yum.

Bought the Bridget Jones soundtrack, Steps Gold (very cute boy in queue behind me as I bought that and Attitude) and Five's Greatest Hits CDs.

Parents tomorrow.
