I almost bought a Citroën XM today. I took Mildred into PTS (recommended by Jo) to have her serviced - they're closer than Oxford French and seemingly slightly more clued up - and there was a guy there with his XM asking how much he should advertise it for. I jokingly said "I'll swap you a Xantia for your XM!" and ended up taking it out for a test drive.

Of course, I wouldn't swap Mildred - but I'd SORN her and leave her in Hereford so I had a car to come back to next time I'm over. It's a very nice white XM with squishy bits and it drives beautifully, albeit slightly slower than Mildred. She (Mildred) was proclaimed by the mechanic to "make our Xantia seem positively sluggish" (yay!) although their modified ZX Turbo Diesel was quite something.
