Chez Scott and Owen

Yesterday I woke up mid-morning and Jon and I went to lunch on Old Compton Street, did some DVD shopping (Meaning of Life, Kevin and Perry Go Large, Bridget Jones' Diary and Se7en) then got a cab to Paddington and took the train back to Newbury to shower and get the car.

After a quick change, I drove up to Mari's for AJ's birthday party only to get there and realise it was Jamie's birthday party and that I'd addressed the card to the wrong godchild. I gave AJ his card which he looked at confusedly and ran off to give it to Jamie. I then got told of my mistake by Mari and had to snatch the card back so I could hurridly change the name. I hastily scrawled "and Jamie" then pretended I'd forgotten AJ's so it was a joint card! Removal of card from 3 year old's hands led to quivery lips and I thought I was going to have a riot on my hands.

I ate and nibbled and smoked far too much, then we all sat round and watched Shrek (which I quite enjoyed). I packed up quite soon after the end of the film and charged down the A1 to Heaven for the #queer party. All good fun - nice to see people I haven't for a while.

I drove loads of people back to Owen's then we all sat around talking and drinking and generally being quite lushy. I had to catch up on drinking as I'd been staying sober all evening because of Mildred. Scott came back much later and we sat up right through the night watching Izzard and things.

I crashed out at about 7am for a few hours then was woken up for breakfast and film watching. Requiem for a Dream was interesting but not something I'd have chosen myself for Sunday morning viewing. Billy Elliot (later in the day) was fab and very emotional and I am going to have to buy it. First film in ages to make me cry.

Got fed chicken. Did rude things to Gaz ("You're wearing black, aren't you?" "Yes, should I change it?" "Aah. Too late, sorry.") which involved Sal's bed and a dressing gown. Flopped around trying not to smoke.

Christophe isn't moving to Paris after all. I didn't quite grasp why but this means he wil be around for longer! Rah! I invited him to Marrakech (Liam's found us a lovely Ryad to stay in) as he can come now, so he's thinking about it. Rah!!
