A non-smoking day
Today's mood: :-)

Woke up quite early because I just didn't sleep properly last night. I had a few new text messages - and an answerphone message - to my new phone but it wasn't capable of doing anything international until later on.

Jamie and I went out driving and exploring today and Mildred even did some off-roading up a track over a big hill. That was quite good fun. Lots of scenery for Jamie to take photos of and take in. Le Grand Puyconnieux again where inflatable Pikachu took in the view and some Dutch child squealed "Choo! Choo!" lots.

We went to a lovely restaurant for dinner on Jamie's last night in St. Mathieu. I had yummy bunny in cider with gratin potatoes and just-right vegetables which were gorgeous and crunchy. I was designated driver, alas, but still had a fabulous time. Philip got slightly merry. No - surely not.

As it was such a clear evening, Jamie and I wandered up to Puyconnieux ("bloody stupid hill") again for a final look and it was breathtaking. There were a couple of clouds but only ickle ones so we could see all the stars, about four of which shot!

Sarah at NatWest Hungerford sorted out some nightmare troubles I was having. She really is wonderful, although I'm starting to believe she's the only one at NatWest who a) cares, b) knows what to do. But still, on the whole they've not been bad.

I like it here very much. I am certain I will enjoy my stay. Liam and Nicola are coming over next weekend so I shall spend next week exploring lovely things for them to go and see.

I have an ATAC Supermarché Carte de Fidélité. How sad is that?
