A non-smoking day
Today's mood: :-/

I hate the weather. I left the flat this morning - having left Mildred overnight in Mill Reef's carpark - and it was slightly drizzly. I toyed with taking an umbrella but decided against it. Then, as I was half way to work, the heavens opened and I got completely soaked. I thought about the absurdity of it all and walked to work looking very wet with a big grin on my face. People must've thought I was mad.

Dried off slowly as the day went on.

I was somewhat tired at work given I didn't get to sleep until some ridiculous hour in the morning then was woken twice at stages throughout the evening by eagerness in my back. Dealt with the offending item both times which led to a funny taste whenever I belched. Until lunch when it was replaced by Soy Sauce.

He came round again this evening. I'm mildly concerned because he's only 18 and loves me already, but hey! I'm leaving the country soon (heartless) although he knows about it and is wondering whether he fancies a holiday in France. Hm.

Work better. Stuff underway now as we've discovered the hosting company have a PHP-enabled web server. That means I can do all sorts of exciting dynamic things rather than code everything in raw HTML. It also means I can write some groovy template-driven stuff to save me no end of time! Rah!

Julie from Planet Wild called me to say "Hello" and find out how I was and stuff. Unfortunately, she's left so nobody we dealt with originally has had any control over what's happening with the Dublin footage. However, she's after a copy for me as she knows I'm off out of the country so I might get to see it soon.

It looks as if Nicola is going to be my first visitor to France! She's got flights over for the Bank Holiday weekend so I'm going to buy some bits and bobs and we're going to spend the weekend getting very drunk indeed. And probably eating things as well.

My replacement AMEX turned up today. That's very quick. NatWest declined my credit card application. Pffft.

Looked at the AI stuff Jon needs doing. It can wait until tomorrow, I think. Jon told me that Scott in Australia is off to the One-Tel auction and is going to buy us 15" TFT monitors for about AUS$200 which'll be nice. We'll have to ship them here, obviously, but that can't be that difficult. I wonder what else is up for grabs?

I would appear to have tongue strain. I can't imagine how that's happened.
