I'm not entirely certain why I'm so happy, but it's probably something to do with the fact I've finally managed to get patsy talking to the outside world via edina (of course I hadn't forgotten to set the default route in Windows - oh no) and get pmfirewall (M_at's recommendation) working nicely.
Other than that, quite lousy really. I went to the pub with Dubbya and Rupert at lunchtime and had mussels. Come 4pm, I was in the toilet hurling everywhere. That was not particularly amusing, especially given the amount of work I have to do.
After about three loo sessions at work I decided I'd had enouhg and that I was going home. That was, in itself, a good plan although I'd not accounted for the roadworks on the Speen stretch of the A4. Sitting at the roundabout waiting for the lights to go green, I just had to hurl again. This irritated drivers queueing back for miles because I chose to open my door and projectile just as the lights went green. So I spent about two minutes ejecting orange stuff (I'd gone through my stomach's contents in the office, so I'm not sure what that was!) onto the road with one hand firmly gripping the steering wheel and the other flicking a bird at the impatient driver behind me.
As it happened, I rushed to get through the lights anyway which let to a hurl in mouth, hold nose and swallow incident because I really didn't want Mildred smelling of sick.
I'm so glamorous sometimes.
Off to visit Graham in Prague in the first week in August. That means I go home, to Prague, home, then to France. That's a good combination of things, I think. I must book my tickets to New Zealand as well.
