A non-smoking day
Today's mood: :-)

Cool day. Slept in really late whilst Gareth went to mass then loafed around Canal Street watching cartoons until about 4pm. I would've left earlier but the first time I went to leave, Gareth piped up with "Would you like another cup of coffee before you go?" (very Mrs Doyle) which delayed me another half hour (I can't drink hot coffee, duh!). Then I just collapsed into I. M. Weasel, Dexter's Lab and then some Scooby Doo.

Gareth and Joel seemed suitably impressed that when the spaceship appeared I said, "ah, it's projection from a lighthouse, not a real spaceship." It turned out to be a projection from a submarine, but I was close enough. And we were right. It was the evil weather scientist.

Bought a microphone for my PC. Not really sure why but it gave me half an hour of milling around PC World doing very little and poking at pretty-looking things thinking I should buy them.

Rang Julie who did the Dublin thing for Planet Wild, but didn't get hold of her. Had a brief chat with Jeremy who'd been out for the day. We didn't speak long because he was driving. I should go and visit him in Paris before I go to France. Which doesn't make any sense at all.

I'm slowly having more and more fears about this Dublin Nights thing actually going to air. We all figured out that we'd be portrayed as Dave the cynic, Jon the bitter one and James the hedonistic slut-lush. I remember the conversation in Bristol airport ("Westlife are only worth £13 million, which isn't very much when you think about it") and other things which are going to make me come across as horrifyingly obnoxious. But it was fun so I'm not that sure I care, to be honest.

Flopped around in the afternoon doing very little indeed. In the evening, Jon, Rob and I went for a couple of pints in Parisa before heading back to Jon's to drink some gin and lollop. I had a kebab which would've been naughty if I'd have had something else to eat during the day. I was ravenous by about 11pm. Kebabs are bad but just oh so nice! Garlic sauce too. Yum.

Survived without smoking as well, which at Jon's house - with that gin intake - is quite something. I am impressed with myself.

Got looked at by grizzly straight boys as I walked through the Kennet Centre car park. One of the boys from Dominos was whizzing round the car park doing wheelies on his 125cc moped, and I took one look at him, thought of Liam, Jon and Anton, and just burst out laughing. Not the thing to do when straight boys are showing off to impress birds, it would seem.

I watched some of Taxi which I bought yesterday. Chatted with Matthew in the evening as well. He's promising me a fitness regime whilst I'm away. Should be interesting.
