Cancelled my massage this morning - which I arranged on Saturday - because Jon grumped at me last night because I'd not checked with him. Still - better suited to a weekend when I'm not rushing, I think.
Philip and I have arranged we'll have lunch with Matthew on Sunday afternoon to talk about France and getting cars there and stuff. I do hope they get on as Matt's going to come with me for the drive and then a couple of weeks of chilling before he goes back to uni. Should be fun.
Website work was slightly stunted and interrupted today as I couldn't get my head into it. But with the progress I made earlier on in the week I'm not too concerned as, simply, it's all there and it's just a matter of re-hashing content in places. Most of it is removing all the bollocks Paul drivelled up and condensing it. If I buckle down over the next two days I can have it out by Friday, I think.
Steve's left C2/Redhat. More accurately, he was made redundant but however it happened, it was an excuse for a slap-up meal with lots of C2 people; Mark, Marion, Steve, Joe, Minmin, Kiat and myself. Somehow I left with a copy of Redhat 7.1 but that's not too bad. I spent the meal doing flirty eye contact with a rather gorgeous waiter who blushed and smiled back lots. Neil didn't come but we didn't really notice. Steve and I think he doesn't like us.
I drank absolutely gallons of alcohol but ended up not feeling drunk at all by the end of it. I'm not sure whether I was being loud, arrogant and pissed though. My recollection is that I was funny, charming and the centre of conversation. So that probably means I was a boozed-up loud poof-lush. Ah well. Ended up putting it all on a card and running with the cash.
Today I figured out I'd spent about £5k on petrol in the last two and a half years. That could've come down to about £3k if I had've bought a diesel or less if I'd bought an HDi. The most alarming thing was that I've done 43000 miles in the last two and a half years! I drive too much!
Graham's settling in in Prague and has been looking at apartments and the like. Looks as if I'll be there for the first two weeks of August.
