Today's mood: :-/

Work was ok, for work. Still no huge major feedback from management on my exciting news, so I'm feeling insignificant. Perhaps nobody other than me actually cares that I'm leaving? Hm. That's a bit damning.

Watched NASDAQ plummet even further and can't help feeling annoyed that I didn't sell AMD last week at $30 now that it's at $20.76 - which is less than I paid for it. But..... what goes down must go up and I don't need to worry about moolah for a few months or so, so I'll just sit and watch to see what happens. Irritating though; I could be hoovering up cheapies at the moment. Eek! I've lost a few months' salary in a couple of days. That's quite sobering.

Got my invitation to the AMD shareholders' meeting in New York. Somewhat ironic.

Went out in the evening with a guy called Gareth who's working in Newbury (poor love) and doesn't seem to know anyone outside of his work circle. We went to The Wellington Arms and then headed to Pizza Express for a chilled meal before I dropped him back at the Hilton (next to Tesco - woo!) and had a quick drink. It was a really pleasant evening and I've invited him up to Reading next week to bounce at The Granby.

I am going to remove the stock ticker from my machine at work so I can't be depressed during the day. I wonder how long it'll take for things to turn around and go sensible again. Hm. Redhat at less than $5. Oops!
