Woke up at about midday and consumed coffee, cereal, and nicotene. Chilled around for a bit and did generic stuff before hopping into Mildred and heading up to Oxford to drop Tony home. I was going to drop the loan minidisc player back at Richer Sounds but the traffic was awful and I really couldn't be bothered sitting going nowhere for the afternoon. Drove back and stopped off at Burger King to get a big bag of lard which I took round to Jon's place. I had been feeling hungry but couldn't be arsed with the idea of Sainsbury's or having to cook anything. Jon's floors are going down nicely with the person he got in to replace Nick. (Grr). The flat's looking really nice now and I was too hungry to feel green, so that's good. I was supposed to be going up to see S Club 8 at GAY with Jon and Rob this evening but I was so tired after last night and I really wasn't in the mood for a heaving club full of people. Slept for a little while in the early evening then just chilled with a bottle of wine and something to eat. Spent a lot of time online chatting as well. Sad, yes, but fun. Unmetered internet access is useful, although I can't help thinking I should consider ADSL, but that's a bit pointless if I'm not going to be here in a few months' time. I have smoked far too many cigarettes today - at least fifteen. I am very bad. However, I am still committed to my April of non-excess. Spoke with Ed and it's possible we're going to get together and do something tomorrow, although we're not sure what yet. One option was going to Alton Towers with Lee (joyous, not) or something else. I plumped for the something else option. Email from Mark telling me he'd written off a rental car but he seems alright. T'other Mark(D) and I think we'll go to Prague in October as he's there for a conference. I'd rather go earlier in the year but then I'd also rather go with someone. | |||
