The Laws of Elephant Mud
Elephant Mud is goverened by two forms of institution, each of which
has its own set of rules and regulations, which should be obeyed by
the players:
- Wizard Laws
- Which are laid down by Admin, the people who run the game. These laws
are set in stone and are in no way negotiable. To break a Wizard Law
is to bring down death or worse upon yourself. Some, which relate to
serious issues such as harrassment, can carry penalties far beyond
destruction of character to those that flaunt them.
- Council Laws
- Although Council will threaten death and worse to anyone who breaks
these, they are laws laid down by, and enforced by, players. Whereas
breaking a Wizard Law results in certain punishment, Council Laws will
only bring such punishments as the council can inflict themselves.
Seeing as Wizards are omnipotent, whereas Council are mortal players,
there is a big difference.
Generally speaking, however, both sets of laws exist for your benefit; to
make the Mud a better place to live in, and players should be aware of
them. Ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the Law!
