Today's mood: :-)

Bizarre dream last night. I was driving Mildred home from Limoges, fell asleep at the wheel then woke up just as teh rumble strips went under her but couldn't focus or regain control of the car so ended up going off the road. The last thing I rememebr before I woke up was the sensation of weightlessness as she went down underneath me. Very odd. Brian says emotional disturbance (Tophe) causes falling dreams. Hm.

Today has really fucked with my head. I've failed to get the boiler sorted because of French incompetence. Last night's plumber didn't arrive today either and when I found another one I could try nearby in Cussac which was good until his wife told me he was dead and I discovered I was using a two year old Pages Jaune.

The fish is obviously dead too, another tribute to my Medusa Touch powers as it's now on its side in a big block of ice in the pool ni the garden. I did manage to get my christmas cards posted though, although that involved dead people too; as I charged into Marval to get it all sorted, I ended up in the middle of a funeral cortège, against the traffic, trying to look inconspicuous. Hm. Add that to the external thermometer which I putoutside the window, closed the window on and then watched in horror as it cut through the cable and the indoor unit dropped to the ground, it's all been a bit of a fun few days.

Going back to England in January and getting paid for it too.

Lots of packing and things. All ready for tomorrow with my new medical insurance (whee) and stuff. Despite the fact that throughout the day everything has conspuired against me to a point where I've wanted to sit down and weep, it's actually not been that bad. I'm dead excited, we're all ready to go (although I have to pack but that's not too much problem) and I think it's going to be an ace time. It's a stark contrast from this year's New Year where I was in Québec with snow and stuff. In the Sahara with sand and camels?

Fucking woo!
