Home in sunny Herefordshire at last. It was slightly touch and go as to whether I'd get here actually, after having traipsed round the Railtrack site trying to find a decent train from Reading or Swindon to Hereford or Worcester. Amazingly, it would've taken me the same time to take the train from Reading to Hereford as it tok me to get the train from Limoges to Paris. Daft. What's more, Limoges to Paris cost £19. Paddington to Newbury cost £13. So. How does that work, exactly?
Busy week. Achieved lots. Jon's really pleased with the stuff we've been doing and it looks as if there's going to be more to do too! Rah! That's good as it ties in with myplan to stay in France even longer.
Jon, Rob and I went out with Mark and Steve tonight and had a couple of pints and a bit of a chat. Inevitable New York conversations and stuff. Looks as if all the C2 people are about to exit Newbury - hardly anyone left now as Mark's off and Steve's just put an offer in on a house in Norwich. Blimey!
Not impressed with the new Absolutely Fabulous. I watched it at Jon's and it's a bit American - especially with the inter-scene musical bits. Pah. Sell out.
Jon's loaned me his car. Very kind of him, I thought. Drove it back very sedately from Newbury for fear of bending it or something bizarre. His CD changer collection is very gay.
