I tried using public transport in the morning to get back from Oxford to Newbury but it took over two hours and I was far from impressed. The rough boys in the carriage (who probably couldn't afford their own cars) were quite a pleasant distraction from the tedium. Saw an accident almost happen on the A34 on the way back up to get her in the afternoon.

Did some packing. Not long to go now.

Rescued Jamie from nightmare situation in teenage car. Took him for a little "suspension testing" drive - Mildred had new front spheres fitted today as the old ones were getting a bit stiff - which involved driving fast over bumps. Sad, yes, I know. But fun, nonetheless.
