Today's mood: :-)

Oh my god. I am so slovenly! Admittedly, I didn't get in until 6am (something to do with being so whorey as well) but I'm not entirely sure that justified not getting out of bed until about 3pm! I feel so bad!

And what did I wake up to? A Membership Rewards leaflet from Amex and a phone bill. I made my Saturday 'morning' more appealing with scrambled eggs, salmon, and toast. I forgot to buy bagels. Oopsie.

I consumed the rest of the packet of Marlboro Lights I bought last night throughout the day. Very bad of me, but they're gone now. Which is a good thing.

As I didn't get up until late, it was too late to drop my machine round to Steve's to have him play with CUPS and try and get my printer working - which apparently it will. Apparently. I've got to drop him off my copy of SuSE so he can have a play as well - I was going to do it on my way out of town but by the time I left it was just a little bit too late. I'll pop it round in the morning.

I don't understand all these server things you need in Linux. Why there are so many sound servers, for example. My sound car works perfectly under KDE, unless I try and use anything like KMedia - at which point it goes all wibbly. But RealPlayer works - so I don't understand. All very bizarre. Perhaps I should read the manual?

I was going to go up to London to see BlowThingsUpEd in the evening, but it was getting late and he was faffing, so in the end I ended up in the Granby again with Dan and a few others. The music was absolutely superb - it's the best I've heard it in a long time. I think they must've got someone new in because upstairs was really empty - people were clearly voting with their feet.

Anyway. I had a pleasant evening, really. Was a little in the mood for pulling, but not to the point that I was working my way round the crowd. It was quite fun chatting with Dan again anyway, even though I didn't really pay him as much attention as I could've done. Oh well.

So, really, today I've achieved nothing. I had plans: more tidying up, organ practice, collecting specs from Reading. Oh well. I had a nice night out - so that's a good thing!
