Today's mood: :-)

Well. After 14 hours of sleeping, I was quite refreshed when I got into work this morning. I got home at about 6.30pm last night and went for what was supposed to be just a little snooze. Little by some standards, I suppose. Not mine, though. Oops.

Still - it saved me having to cook.

I told Jon I hated my job. I don't think it came as much of a surprise but I thought I'd casually mention it anyway. Work's going so shit at the moment, but I'm not bothered because I've only got two months to go! Yay! I don't regret leaving C2 though as I wouldn't have had the funds available - because of lock ins - to do the France thing. So that's good.

Dinner with Graham in the evening - pleasant as always. It was the most bizarre meal situation though, as we went to Caffe Uno for a lightish dinner which was accompanied by a not-quite excellent Saxophone quartet who played very strange things.

I launched into a thing about BMW drivers being able to park where they wanted (we witnessed one doing it) because the Highway Code doesn't apply to them and the people on the table next to us had a for-our-benefit conversation about how people who drive £500 cars always complain about those who drive £20,000 cars. We made a point of having a for-their-benefit conversation about Graham's black AMEX (with occasional waving about) and my somewhat more inferior one which seemed to steer their conversation onto someone else's desserts.

I have started trying to organise stuff. I went to Office World and bought some filing things and stuff. I spent a few hours after getting back from the meal organising things into Bank, Communications, Work and Car files. I'm about to chuck out a whole load of stuff: even I can't need cable TV and telephone invoices from 1994.

Some recent phone bills (which I've now opened and filed) show CEB's old mobile is still on my Friends and Family list. Not really very useful, unless I feel the need to nuisance call him and receive a 15% discount.

Sort of got my printer to like Linux. It'll print from the Adobe PDF viewer and I've managed to print some porn from the GIMP, but not from anything else - yet. Might restart and try again. Probably done something daft.

Outcast mailed to say the article I'd written was just what was needed. Whee!
