I think it's safe to say that today was one of the most non-productive days I have had for a while. This is attributable, in part, to the fact that none of the machines were working in the office as Jon had decided a good way to keep himself entertained would be to rebuild the racks in the machine room, half way through the afternoon. This left me with little option but to go to the pub for a good part of the afternoon with Rupert and Richard who were saying their sooths for the majority of the time there.
I am inclined to agree and don't feel thrilled to be here any more. I bought myself a copy of Pilot magazine to cheer myself up with and found a flying school in Orlando where I could go for three weeks over the summer and come back with a PPL. I'm being impatient, clearly.
I sent my stern letter off to Orange but I doubt it will make any difference. I've been researching alternative networks to change to at the end of my Orange contract and it looks as if I'll be scurrying back to one2one after having left them for the same reason two years ago. Probably. Or I might have forgotten about my misgivings by then and just carry on with the current lot. We'll see.
Shopped in the evening to replenish my fridge supplies after the time away. Bought lots of healthy things as I'm now determined I'll eat more healthily now that I'm home. That means lots of salads (whee!) and stuff instead of, well, chips and chocolate, I imagine.
Given the current disease situation. I'm off red meats for the timebeing. There's a big BBC South van outside the NFU building opposite us (amusingly, it's got one of our dishes on the top), doubtless reporting about the pigs down the road. Anyway - I bought loads of vegetables but no meat. I've tuna in the cupboard but that's it really. Oh - and it's national non-smoking day and I've not had a cigarette since Tokyo. I'm determined not to have any more for a while, as well. Oh - I'm so good sometimes.
Berkshire really is mind-numbingly tedious. I'd be interested to know what the resolution would be to refill my life with excitement and wealth.
