Oopsie. Didn't get in until about 10.30am and Jon was in a major strop about it. Well, not foot-stampy strop but a clearly pissed off strop. I apologised profusely and decided that pointing out I'd had a plumber come in and that I'd told him about it the day before (I hope) would do little to diffuse the situation. Ah well. It's only work.
That said, it's hard to be subtle coming in to work in an electric blue car. Martin's got a Bora on loan until his company one arrives sometime soon, so given Mildred needs new brakes, I've got it. Horrible thing. Nice to drive, in its favour, but it's so cheap inside and noisy and, well, simply ick. However, he was in today so I ended up with the Mondeo, which is a cunt. Horrible thing. I've never driven a car I've had to fight for control of before. I drove it back from London and it was not at all relaxing.
The day was good. We headed up to London to do stuff in Docklands which involved lusting over some bloke called Sean from our hosting compay. He is incredibly sexy indeed and Jon and I were less than subtle in our hint dropping. ("Are A1 on at G.A.Y. this weekend, Jon?")
Once we'd finished doing work stuff there, we headed into Soho to meet up with Nicola and Liam who were groovy. Drank Guinness (but not much because I was driving) at "The Spice of Life" before heading for one quick drink in Ku Bar and then Sushi. Yum! Gorgeous meal.
Did some playing with hard drives and things and got SuSE (the shame) installed although it seems uncertain quite where lilo ended up. Oops.
