Welcome to AMUG CD, Inc. Newton File Area.

We have JUST released Vol. #7 of the Totally Incomplete
PDA CD-ROM for Newton. You can get yours at:
http://cdrom.amug.org/

Incoming
We accept files in our /incoming folder. This folder is 
available in the newton area as /submissions. Also, if you wish  
to submit a file, you can email it to bean@amug.org. Or you can point 
me in the general direction of the file.

Files uploaded are reviewed and placed in ftp.amug.org/
pub/newton/recent/ after they are virus checked. The files from 
that area will make their way to the appropriate Newton area, 
and will be evaluated for inclusion in the AMUG CD series.


New Newton T-Shirt
We went all out on this one! We took the Newton 6 cover with the
Newton as a pool in the Desert with packages floating in the water.
It says "AMUG, the Newton Watering Hole!" on the shirt. These are
four color with the AMUG URL on the back. I LOVE mine. They are
available from sales@amug.org for $12.00 plus shipping. Show your
Newton Colors!

Search Engine
A NEW COOL feature just added is the AMUG Newton Search
engine! Check it out at http://cdrom.amug.org/ just click
on Newton area near the state icon and you can search all
1800 package names and descriptions on line! Gotta try it!
(You can also use the http://www.shareware.com engine as
we are a VSL site for them as well.)

Once you find your selections you can download them from several 
sites provided and you can even request the description be
modified if you are the author of the file.

Registered FTP
AMUG has registered ftp available as well as anonymous. Registered
users help support the costs of the system and as such never get
a busy signal and get access to special CD site that has new
files added each weekday. At $60 per year it averages just $5
per month. Send registered ftp orders to sales@amug.org or
602-497-2244 voice.

The Totally Incomplete PDA CD-ROM #7 for Newton
AMUG CD, Inc. produces a Newton CD of shareware and freeware 
files, and it's cheaper than an AC adaptor! The disk is an ISO, 
and works on a Mac or PC. It is compatible with 1.x and 2.0 NOS.

AMUG's Newton ftp site is
ftp.amug.org/pub/newton has over 1700 files!

All the files are stuffed and binhexed. Mac users simply use 
StuffitExpander. Dos and Win users use SITEX10.ZIP from our
PC area in the Newton archive.
