ASPIRESPACE - A SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The primary driving force behind the success of AspireSpace will be the commitment and determination of the people working within it. ASPIRE I showed the formula of incremental development undertaken by a relatively small team to be a successful one - we feel that we can achieve an even greater degree of success in the goals that we have set out for AspireSpace over the rest of the decade.

It would however be foolish for us to assume that commitment and determination alone will allow success for AspireSpace - as during the ASPIRE I project, we will need support from industrial and other organisations to achieve our aims. This support could be in the form of financial aid, or in the provision of materials, or access to equipment or staff expertise.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER A SPONSOR IN RETURN ?

The main practical benefit that we can offer to a potential sponsor is the prestige and publicity afforded by being associated with the programme. Even before the first launch of the ASPIRE II series vehicle, various members of the AspireSpace team have been the targets for interviews by the media - both in written form in numerous national newspapers, on the TV (BBC, ITV and Channel 4) and on radio.

It is likely that as the programme gathers momentum, and the various launches happen, public interest in, and therefore media coverage of AspireSpace will grow. The free publicity received by a sponsoring organisation as the result of a twenty-second slot on television news, or in an article in a national newspaper would be of considerable benefit.

Sponsoring companies would be given the opportunity to have their logo on the side of the ASPIRE rocket - and hence have the opportunity to have that logo visible on a rocket in successful flight. Other advertising space is available on the launch gantry, which would be highly visible to cameras, as well as at the AspireSpace Centre itself and superimposed on the in-flight video footage received live from the rocket. Also, the sponsoring companies would be mentioned in all promotional AspireSpace literature and presentations.

The AspireSpace team would welcome any other suggestions of mutual benefit from potential sponsors.
