Don't call the helpdesk about Demon's installation or your installation's progress. They will answer some technicall questions - but don't ask them about demon specific or OS specific information...
(ATM-25 means that it takes in an ATM 25Mbps and presents a RJ-45 Ethernet connection.)

The Modem's will be CAP (Carrierless Amplitude modulation Phase modulation) until April
The Modem's will be DMT (discrete multi-tone) after April with Alcatel chipset
There is no efective difference to the user between CAP & DMT (allegedly) but a DMT ADSL modem wont be able to work within a CAP infrastructure.
